Please think of Darik sometimes

This is a favorite picture of mine with our son Darik and Amanda, this is the night they dropped us off at the airport to go on our cruise last february, this was Feb 1st 2008.  It was snowy which made me nervous and the planes had to be de Iced and the roads were just getting some but I was grateful to get word from them they were back home in bed safe before we had even gotten in the plane.  

We miss Darik He left for his journey onto the war about 3 weeks after this.  Please pray for his safety. 

Who is Kate?

You who know us, may wonder who is this cute girl named "Kate",  She is totally like one of the family, in so many ways, not to embarrass  her or Brady, but you should know she is Brady's girlfriend.  Yes Brady has a very cute girl in his life and she is fun and so helpful and very easy to get to know.  We enjoy her company so much, the little kids do too, so now they have Amanda and Kate they get so excited to play with.  It's so cute

  We are looking silly in those pictures but we are having alot of fun playing with Jason and Krisitn's new W!!.

Dinner at J&K house

We had the best dinner tonight we had chicken courdon blue and cheesy potatoes and it was so fun. Kristin is such a great cook. She also made almond roca bars, and churro's. Wow lots of calories too bad. It was great. Lacey wanted her hair cut shorter than it was. Kate showed us how she does it. It did turn out alot shorter, and so cute. It is like a Dorothy Hamil cut. She got tired of holding still and so she had some tough moments, but all in all she did great.

Yesterday Kelly and I went to the garden tours, I helped them on Friday and then my sister Cathy helped sit out the house last night. We sat at this family's house that live off Columbia Lane in that new beautiful large development with at huge house and yard with the funnest back yard, and their business partner lives around the corner with a Hawaiian back yard and pool and slide a thing with a waterfall and mountain, that looks like Disneyland. They were so nice and friendly and it was so of my favorite yards. One other one I loved in Springville with an elderly lady that works like 5 hrs a day in her yard and she has paths and patios and rock walls, it is a house that is over 100 years old. They had improved parts of the house and yard so much. It was fun but kinda took too much time away from our yard work.

Kelly was injured the first full day of this cruise.  He dislocated his right shoulder.   He was playing tennis on the ship, with his 3 brothers.  He fell and his hand got caught in a wall net.

This is my first attempt at blogging and I have some fun ones like Jason and Kristin's and others.  I love this whole idea.  I hope to make an attempt and like it.  

Kelly and I have really been so blessed to be able to go traveling a lot this past year.  We first went to the Eastern Carribbean last April.  We then for sure wanted this to be a yearly thing.  We then booked for this past February so we could go with most of Kelly's sibling's and his parents.  This was such an opportunity, so we decided to go and then came up with a plan where our three single kids and my mom and aunt and uncle could go too.   Last october of 2007 we went on another cruise to the mexican riveria from San Diego.    We normally would not have gone on so many in such a short time but to be able to go with my mom and Kelly's folks and especially our single kids may not be single (hopefully) much longer and so it worked out.  They paid their way.  We wish we could all go with Jason and Kristin along too, who knows someday.

This will be a fun way to show pictures and share our lives.  I will need to get more into picture taking myself.  We have such fun little grandchildren, Jason and Kristin's three.  Lydia and Luke and Lacey (the twins).  We will have to post some pictures of them all as soon as I learn more how to do this.
